We believe prayer is communing with God and confronting the enemy. It is sharing intimacy with our Father and also confronting our enemy in the power and authority of the finished work of Jesus on the cross. Prayer is not a luxury for some Christians, it is a necessity for all believers. We believe prayer should be passionate and the prayer of the righteous person is powerful and effective.

There are so many questions surrounding prayer in the church. What is prayer? How do we pray? What happens when we pray? Is there a wrong way to pray? If God is all-knowing, why pray at all? Prayer seems to be talked about more than anything else in the church but is it actually practiced?

Part 1 - What is Prayer?

We are in a battle and spiritual warfare is very real. We have also been given the greatest weapon to use in this battle... prayer. However, like most weapons, prayer requires weapons training school first. So let's start at the basics... Prayer is communing with God and confronting the enemy.

Part 2 - The Lord's Prayer

The Lord's Prayer is arguably the most recognizable prayer in the world. However, is it just a really great prayer as is or are there clues within that teach us how we should pray and what we should pray about? After all, Jesus told his disciples to pray "like" this... not "pray this".

Part 3 - Pray Like a Pro

The Bible tells us that the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. This means that when we pray we can be assured that God hears our prayers they are accomplishing much and that those prayers can change events here on earth even when we doubt they can. Our doubt does not disqualify God's deliverance in our lives.

Part 4 - Misconceptions & Obstacles to Prayer

Since prayer is universal and widely accepted, there are many misconceptions to prayer. Further, sometimes it feels like our prayers are not reaching God or He is not hearing them as well as we'd like because there are very real obstacles to our prayers . In this "sermon" we look at both the misconceptions and obstacles to effective prayer.

Jesus wants to take us from simply having a Prayer List to having a Prayer Life!

Part 6 - What Happens When We Pray?

When we pray amazing things happen. When we become a prayerful person, when we become a praying church… we partner with God, we align with God’s timeline, our spiritual eyes are opened, our hearts are aligned with God’s heart, and we are propelled forward to fulfill God’s purpose for our lives.
